Technorati tags bookmarklet.

Update: See this comment for the code for a bookmarklet that opens the tag links in a new tab/window. Let me know what you think.

Update 2: I know the code doesn’t all fit on the page with the Emire theme. Sorry. You should still not have a problem selecting it all to copy and paste.

Update: I updated the code to add a little Technorati icon next to the tags. To use it, just replace <img id="image329" src="https://freehogg.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/04/technorati.gif" alt="Technorati" /> with your own file location, and viola! You’ve got an icon.

I’ve started using a bookmarklet I found at Lorelle’s blog to add my Technorati tags to the bottom of the posts. Here’s how to make your own:

1. Copy the code below.
2. Right-click on your bookmarks toolbar and select New Bookmark.
3. Change the Name to whatever you want. I use “Technorati tags”.
4. Paste the code into the location box.

Now, whenever you write a post, just click on the bookmarklet, enter in the tags, and it will generate the HTML to paste into your blog post.
