After reading the TechCrunch review on Pandora, I checked it out and have been listening to it for a few days now. It’s awesome. Pandora is a flash-based online streaming music player. It’s based on the Music Genome Project. Here’s how it works: type in the name of a group, artist, or song, and Pandora will play that music plus it will find other similar groups, artists, and songs based on the findings of the previously mentioned Music Genome Project, and then create a station based on those findings. You can then add more songs or artists to that station or create an additional separate station, up to 100 stations. The best feature it has is that it is absolutely free without any audio ads either (there are some text ads). The sound quality is suprisingly good also. In the past, I have used Yahoo!’s version of online streaming music, and Pandora seems to sound much better.
