Yahoo doesn’t buy Digg, yet.

There have been a lot of rumors circling the web about Yahoo purchasing Digg (the j. botter weblog, TechCrunch, Yahoo Search Engine News). This rumor has been put down (at least for the time being) by Kevin at Digg Blog:

So, just to set things straight - we are not in talks with Yahoo. We are focused on creating new features and expanding digg into new areas beyond tech. The recent reports about digg and Yahoo! are just rumors, nothing more.

So Digg hasn’t succumb to the “Web 2.0″ aquisition frenzy quite yet. But don’t be surprised if in the not too distant future they get snatched up for a load of cash.
