Run IE6 AND IE7 on XP
Web designers who have an IQ higher than 4 know that they need to test their sites on as many web browsers and versions of those browsers as possible. With Internet Explorer being built in to Windows, the recent upgrade to version 7 makes that testing a little more difficult.
Here comes Jennifer Kyrnin to the rescue. She has posted a step-by-step tutorial on how to get the two most recent versions of IE running on the same XP machine at the same time without doing anything to your computer that you’d need a doctorate in computer science to know what you’re doing.
I haven’t tried it out yet, not from lack of desire, just lack of time. So if you do it, let me know how it goes and what your experience was like. I’ll let you guys know as soon as I give it a go.
I wish there was a way we could just bury IE6 and never see it again. But, alas, we can’t.
