Get the Latest and Greatest Software for Starving Students CD
The newest release of Software for Starving Students, 2007.01, has been released. This CD download contains tons of great free and open-source software aimed at students, but really useful for anybody.
Software for Starving Students is a free collection of programs organized for students (but available to anyone). We’ve gathered a list of best-in-class programs onto one CD (one disc for OS X, one for Windows), including a fully-featured office suite, a cutting-edge web browser, multi-media packages, academic tools, utilities and more.

And there’s a ton more. So get to downloading, all you poor college kids, and all the rest of us who know that you never need to pay for software when there’s great stuff like this out there.

That’s a great list. I love the portable apps myself…very handy to have on a USB flash drive.
