Mozilla Firefox

BetaNews is saying that the alpha version of the next generation of Mozilla’s Firefox web browser will be available as soon as next month.
They also report that work for Firefox 3 has already begun.

Although the first alpha release of the next version of the popular alternative browser will not be feature complete, it should give users an idea of where the company plans to take Firefox in 2006. The year is expected to be a busy one; work on Firefox 3 is already underway with a release possible late this year or early in 2007.

The Firefox team amazes me. I don’t know anything about software development, but I can’t believe that only a few months after releasing version 1.5 and before even an alpha is released of version 2, they have already started Firefox 3.
