Free education blogs.

Filed under: Education, Weblogs — Hogg @ 1:48 pm

Some of you may know that I am currently student teaching (I’m at school right now!) and that in the not-so-distant future, I will be a teacher. Right now, I am trying to gather technology resources that I can use in my classroom.

I have recently stumbled upon edublogs.org. They have WordPress.com-based free blogs for “teachers, researchers, librarians and other education professionals.” They are almost identical to WordPress.com but have limited plug-in capabilities (you can only use the plug-ins that they provide for you). Also, they have more themes than you can shake a stick at.

So if you’re an educator, check them out. Get blogging into your classroom.

Update:They also do blogs for students (learnerblogs.org), blogs for university students (uniblogs.org), and blogs for English Language Learners (eslblogs.org).
