Firefox Portable 1.5.0.5: Get it.

Filed under: Browsers, Firefox, Open Source, Portable Apps, Software — Hogg @ 9:27 pm

John at PortableApps.com has released an updated version of Portable Firefox. However, it’s now called Mozilla Firefox – Portable Edition, or Firefox Portable for short, due to trademark reasons.

This new release adds in a ton of new features, including: the ability to run from a CD, partial upgrade support, in-place upgrades, lots of handy bug fixes, support for running within Wine on *nix and more. And this release is also paired with releases of Firefox Portable 1.0.8 and Firefox Portable 2.0 Beta 1 using the same updated launcher, for all the web developers and testers out there.

Take it with you anywhere you go on your USB stick. I love it!

  6. No one special, I’m not quite sure how you can’t get it to fit on a 1GB drive since when it’s unzipped, Firefox Portable only takes up 16.3MB. You probably just need to clean off some other stuff to make room.
