I love the personal aspect of the new web

Filed under: General, Web Apps — Hogg @ 11:47 am

The “new” web has a more personal side to it. And I really like that.

Whenever you would try to get support from “old” web sites, a lot of times you would fill out a standard form and then receive a standard response. But nowadays, you get a personal touch. I’ve had some correspondence with some people at Box.net and at Zooomr. In all of their e-mails, they use their first name and address me by name. Some people may not be too keen on that, but not me.

I think it’s cool.

  1. I agree as well…it seems like it is alot easier these days to get answers and from people who are more then happy to help you out.

  2. But it have a dark side regarding the costs… You know: to actually providing any support.

  3. I think it’s cool, too! Instead of getting some form letter type email from a giant amorphous company, you have a personal connection.
