Yahoo! Maps has satellites.

Back in December, I made a list of my favorite web stuff choosing Yahoo! Maps Beta as my favorite mapping service. The only shortcoming, I thought, was the lack of satellite imagery.

Well that’s all changed now. I read on Monkey Bites today that Yahoo! has now added satellite images and a hybrid function just like Google Maps.

The Yahoo! maps don’t zoom as well as Google, but it’s a start. (See a photo of the difference on TechCrunch.) It’s all uphill from here!
